Sometimes so much said so simply
She smiled and so subtly reduced me
Long lasting fits of her laughter
Rob me of points I was after
My stomach from giggling now strained
I beg her to stop for the pain
But here we go, and she's at it again
Some nights she's an owl wide eyed
Some things she sees, I'm surprised
Its just me and her so we talk
While our gamers' run down their own clock
We reminisce about the old days
Or what seems old to her, anyways
When you're young it all seems so far
A great distance from where you now are
And you really have come a long way
But if I blinked, then I missed yesterday
What a lovely young lady you've become
But it hasn't been as long as you're thinking
So I've made better use of our time
And done away with old habits, like blinking
